Our 3 sons

This is my summer for organizing the pics.  Okay, I am going to TRY to get them organized.  I have lots of other stuff on my plate this summer as well.  I am working, taking 3 classes, and planning to travel a little.  Either way, pics is on my list.

The boys are ready for school to be over.  They are in until June 3rd, Porter's birthday.  He is really excited about that, he gets to take a treat in for his class.

Porter was promoted today to 1st grade.  Yay!  He will be in school all day next year...oops, did I type that out loud?  :)

I haven't updated this blog since Christmas or shortly after Christmas.

I guess not much has been happening.  Life has been going on as normal.  Tadd and I finished up school for the semester in May.  Nothing exciting to report, except that we both achieved 4.0 GPA again.  I am pretty impressed with myself, I must say.  If I had known I could do 4.0 every semester after being married and having kids, I would not have gone to college straight out of high school.  Oh well.  Live and learn.

Here are some recent pics of the boys, I know that is why you all look at and read this blog anyway.  :)  We got the boys a trampoline for Valentine's Day...well, we bought it for ourselves too.  They love it!  The next photo is of Porter....resting.  He was supposed to be resting after school and got ahold of the camera. :)  Porter has lost his first tooth, he is so proud of the hole.  And we got a dog.  He is a black lab/shep mix, and his name is Duke.  He is bigger now than in the picture, we haven't taken any recent photos though.

We got Jake, "Horton Hears a Who" for Christmas and he loves it.  I was trying to get him to say it how he used to say it..."Horny Who".  Too funny.

I have been playing with the webcam on my Mac lately.  I thought I'd add some pics of the boys.  They love to pose for the Mac-cam.  Jacoby has figured out that he likes to take my hair scrunchies out and then have me put them in his hair, he looks like Pebbles.  Yabba-Dabba Doo!

Jacoby loves to dance.  Hahaha.  He is doing a dance from Horton Hears a Who.  That is the "elephant" part.

Today is voting day and the boys don't have school, so we went to the local skate park. Jake, Porter, and Dalton showed off their skeels. Too funny.

We had an exciting event happen before Halloween. Dalton finally lost his other top tooth. Here he is, in all his glory. That was a tough tooth. He came home from school with a bloody tooth and tried so hard not to pull it out. While we were doing homework, I couldn't understand a word he was saying because the tooth was so loose. Finally, I distracted him and Tadd flicked the tooth out of his mouth. Whew!

The boys also got to dress up for a Halloween party at Skidaddles, their daycare center. Dalton said the kids called him "Fancy Pants". He kept switching back and forth between being a preacher and the Monopoly man. Pretty spiffy. Thank goodness Halloween is finally over....

The boys got to dress up for their Halloween parties at school on Friday, 10/31. Jacoby HAD to dress up too...the three of us went house hunting that morning while Porter was at school. If you can't tell, Dalton is a skull ninja. hmmmm.

Halloween has lasted for over a month here in our home. We bought new costumes in early October and went to HallZOOween on the 18th. The boys got to trick or treat around the zoo as well as getting to pose with some animals. It was a hectic day. The zoo was CRAZY!

It has been such a long time since I have updated this blog. SORRY to those that check it regularly for updated pictures and stories. My life has gotten sort of hectic with Tadd and I both being in school, as well as Dalton and Porter being in school. Homework seems to be the only thing we all get done on a daily basis...sometimes I think we are lucky if we all make it to the bathroom on time. :)

We recently went to a pumpkin farm for all the festivities. There was a hayride, petting zoo, warm food, corn maze, and outdoor games. It was a fun night, but it got cold. I think we all liked the corn maze the best. It was scary trying to find our way out, especially since Dalton, Porter and Jacoby took turns being the leader. :)

We found an AWESOME drop off daycare place...it is called Skidaddles. The first time we took the boys so Tadd and I could go out on a date, this is what we got back......

We started a "special day" reward system with the boys. Each gets one special day a month. We started with Dalton, in August. He decided he wanted to go bowling. It was a fun day. The other two boys go to our wonderful drop off daycare center...Skidaddles. Porter wanted to go to a festival in September, which was also fun. Jacoby wants to go to the Aquarium and see the sharks, which we will do sometime this month (October).

Over the summer we traveled to Pennsylvania. It was so nice to see everyone. The Igou family had a reunion and the Lambert family had a birthday party for Mam. I missed the cabin terribly. We had not been there in 3 years...too long for me. The boys warmed up to everyone at the reunion and played with the Igou kids like they had always been around them and had a blast at the cabin. Sort of makes me wish I was still a kid. Oh well, it's my turn to cook and clean now. Either way, the cabin is still the most relaxing place on earth for me.

Before we left for Kentucky, we stopped by Mam and Pap's house to say "Happy Birthday" again and goodbye and then we were off.

We made a pit stop at Cabela's in Wheeling, WV, and the boys found something to climb...big surprise. We let them out of the car for an hour and they always find something to climb on. Boys will be boys, I guess.

As soon as we moved to Florence, our lives took off. There was so much to do. We bought a membership to the Cincy Zoo and the Newport Aquarium. We go as often as we can...the aquarium is especially nice on rainy days when we don't feel like going to the mall to play on the playground.

Once 2008 got here, time started to fly by. The boys continued with school, Tadd and I continued with school, and Jake kept right on growing. We had decided in September of 2007 that we would be leaving Grayson. It was just not the place we were to be. We were being nudged by God to move to Northern Kentucky to help plant a church. So we spent as much time with our friends from Grayson as possible, let the boys spend some quality time with their friends from school, had a birthday party for Porter, and then left on May 23rd to start our new adventure in Florence Y'all. On the way to Florence, we drove over a few "rumble" spots...just to see Jake make his "pap face".

After Christmas, we were able to spend some time with our friends in Grayson...the Begans! Here are Dalton, Porter, Delanie, and Payton all cheesing it up for the camera...Jacoby must have been sleeping already. We love the Began family!
