Porter's special breakfast. Sometimes the only way to get him motivated to go to school happy is to be creative with his food. Daddy created this masterpiece and now Porter asks for one every day. Pancake face, eggo waffle ears, egg eyes (which Porter didn't like because they were dippy eggs), an apple chunk nose and half a sausage patty mouth. He ate it all but the egg yolks.

Jacoby is walking and practically running now. He is so fast, we can barely keep up with everything he tears out! He is a busy body!

Porter started preschool at the big school this year (2007-08). It is very exciting to go the same school as big brother. He really seems to like his class. There are only 10 children in his class, which makes it nice for Mrs. Tackett, I am sure. Porter is working on shapes and colors right now and will begin letters next month, I believe. Since he went to school last year, I think he may be a little bored by the review, but he never complains about it. He is growing up so fast, still sucking that stinky thumb, though.

Back to school! It was a long summer. I had to do some lesson planning just to keep the boys busy. It was great practice. Dalton started kindergarten this school year (2007-08), and is loving it. His teacher, Mrs. Stamper is so very nice. The only problem we have run into, so far, is that he is not crazy about homework. I just can't figure out how to encourage him, because, to be perfectly honest, I don't like doing my homework either. :) We'll get the hang of it.
He brings home a new book to read every week and is doing excellent with his reading.

The day after the big birthday, July 28, Liesl and James got married. (finally) ;)

Well, Dalton and Porter wimped out of participating in the wedding, but found other things to do...like climbing on things and getting heads stuck...hmmmm...wonder who did that? They also enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond and climbing the rocks. Jacoby found lots of laps to sit on and loved every minute of it. He also found some wonderful dance partners. It was a beautiful day and full of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Jacoby finally turned 1 on July 27. It seems like the year has gone very slowly. He is walking and jibber-jabbering all over the place. Now that he is 1 and getting so independent, life is getting easier and more difficult all at the same time. We say "NO" a lot more now. Suprisingly, Jake listens about as well as Dalton and Porter, if you know what I mean. :)

Life with 3 boys is going to be very interesting and I am pretty positive that it will always be entertaining.
